Sephiria Weapons
Six branches, hundreds of upgrades — pick, inscribe, and grid-craft your main weapon.
Weapons in Sephiria 1.0
Combat in Sephiria centers on six weapon branches, each with 200+ upgrades inside runs and distinct synergy with artifacts, tablets, and Destiny Inscription nodes. TEAM HORAY’s top-down roguelite rewards weapon mastery: red laser telegraphs from Controls punish wrong-range engagement, while the inventory grid amplifies branch-specific tags.
This hub links weapon analysis pages for 1.0 (full release 2026-07-31). Sephiria has no redeem codes — power comes from runs and inscription, not promotional strings.

Weapon Tier List
Rankings for solo, Hard Mode, and co-op contexts at 1.0 balance. Use tiers as orientation, not law — inscription commitment beats rerolling branches every run.
Weapon Types
Deep dive on Sword & Shield, Greatsword, Dagger, Katana/Blade, Crossbow, and Staff/Magic: range, defense tools, grid tag bias, and learning curves.
The six branches at a glance
| Branch | Range | Defense | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sword & Shield | Melee | High block/parry | Learning telegraphs |
| Greatsword | Melee | Medium | Stagger burst |
| Dagger | Melee | Dodge reliant | Aggressive uptime |
| Katana / Blade | Melee | Parry combos | Skill expression |
| Crossbow | Ranged | Kiting | Safe DPS, co-op ranger |
| Staff / Magic | Mid-range | Miracles | Support and control |
Weapon choice versus build choice
Your weapon sets animation timing and which upgrades appear during runs. Your build (Inventory Grid, Tablet Combinations) sets proc power. Changing weapons without changing grid plan fails; changing grid without matching inscription wastes Sapphires.
Recommended flow from Getting Started:
- Pick a branch in chapter one based on comfort.
- Win or lose three runs to feel upgrade paths.
- Commit inscription nodes for that branch.
- Optimize grid tags from Artifacts.
- Revisit Tier List only if progression stalls.
Upgrades inside runs
200+ weapon upgrades modify combos, projectiles, parry windows, and Miracle interactions. Upgrades are run-local — they reset like artifacts. Permanent power still comes from inscription and Ken’s talents. Do not confuse a strong single-run upgrade package with account progression; bank Sapphires via Destiny Inscription instead.
Co-op weapon etiquette
Parties through the Mysterious Door need mixed ranges. Duplicate melee without Crossbow or Staff support collapses under stacked telegraphs. See Companion Build for role templates and remember no host migration when planning weapon swaps mid-session.
Hard Mode weapon notes
Hard Mode elemental modifiers favor weapons that maintain uptime while moving — pure greed Greatsword setups struggle if grid sustain is weak. Tier shifts slightly when elemental tablets enter; check Tier List Hard Mode section after normal clears.
